About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Development Hospitality Post Graduate Intern, which is a temporary, full-time, benefits-eligible position for up to 24 months.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

* Assist with the Game Day Hospitality Program, including coordination of food and drink orders with official K-State caterer Sodexo, development of Premium Seating Policy Guidelines and assist with management of over 30 K-State student staff at other hospitality and department special events (non-game/contest) and other public events in KSA venues as required.
* This position will be the goodwill ambassador and point of contact for all K-State Athletics premium seating donors at K-State athletic events and special venues; provide excellent customer service through the successful development and implementation of a hospitality program.
* Lead coordinator for training and scheduling of the Ahearn Fund Athletic Hospitality staff at K-State Baseball and Women's Basketball games. Manage student-athlete events to include sport banquets, graduation receptions, meetings, etc.
* Schedule the tours of all K-State Athletics facilities for donors and train/coordinate staff to provide the tours.
* Ability to lift 50 pounds, considerable amount of walking and long periods of standing.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in business, advertising, public relations, communications, hospitality or related field
* Minimum of one year experience working or managing special events in a university or collegiate athletic environment
* Must have strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
* Experience with Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in design and writing targeted mass emails, invitations and letters with knowledge of donor related genre
* Experience facilitating events and programs
* Knowledge of customer relations techniques
* Experience supervising and scheduling employees

Other Requirements:

* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

$ 10.00 per hour (approximately $20,800 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) in the first year; potential to earn $12.50 (approximately $26,000 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) after completion of first year with a successful review. Paid biweekly (26 pay periods).
