As part of a team under close supervision, Interns will assist in performing a variety of developmental assignments and learn new business tools. In addition, you will participate in enrichment activities for your professional development.
In this Internship position, you will work within the Business & Supplier Management Services department which provides governance, vendor management, asset management, delivery assurance and contract management to the Infrastructure Management Group and, in some cases, across IT. The department works with IT's senior leaders in governing and directly with the vendors in obtaining the best value for Kaiser Permanente.
Essential Functions:
This internship includes, but is not limited to the following:
Assisting in the analysis and explanation of financial drivers for managed services agreements across 150M portfolio
Assisting in the development of presentations to senior leadership that explains the finances and drivers
Deliverables would include executive level presentations, re-usable financial templates and models
Performing additional job-related duties as required.

Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program from an accredited university within the last year.
A current student entering the 2nd Year of an graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
- Ability to articulate complex technical and financial concepts to a non-IT business audience.
Strong business analysis skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the ability to construct a wide variety of well-written business communications and present to various levels of management in large group or one-on-one settings.
Leadership potential.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Marketing or Communications or related field.
Management consulting experience, particularly in change leadership, cost accounting, process design and service catalog.
Ability to understand and assess economic concepts, cost accounting and activity-based costing methods and service-based processes and practices.
A broad understanding of technology.
3.0 GPA or above.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
Skilled in:
Business and financial analysis
Ability to summarize information into succinct format
Ability to develop messaging within presentations
Familiarity with contracts/agreements and contract language
Ability to develop complex spreadsheets
