My HR Web Delivery is the team that builds and maintains Kaiser Permanentes Human Resources portal. We support over 160,000 Kaiser Permanente employees with their human resource needs like benefits, pay, and retirement.

Our team is lean and collaborative. The product we deliver, My HR, is large and complex. As an intern, you will help drive adoption of a live web style guide for our designers and developers. It is an asset library of reusable components -- like HTML, CSS, and design specifications -- that make our work easier. As part of our team, you will help the nation's largest managed health care organization maintain the face of how we support our employees.

 

Essential Functions:

Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.

Report development and analytics.

Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.

Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.

Job shadowing in other functional areas.

Performing additional duties as required.

 

Additional Functions:

Support and drive adoption of a live web style guide for our designers and developers
Exposure to web development lifecycle as you work alongside user experience designers, content strategists, and engineers.
 Involvement in supporting the nation's largest managed health care organization maintain the face of how we support our employees.
 Maintain an asset library of reusable components for web design, like HTML, CSS, and design specifications.

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

3.0 GPA or above

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.

 Desired majors: Information Technology, Liberal Arts, Art & Design, or related

Familiarity with the software development process and some knowledge of graphic design.
Desire to think about both tasks and complex large systems
Familiarity with HTML and CSS, Adobe Suite of software (Photoshop and Illustrator)
Conceptual understanding of content management
JavaScript knowledge and familiarity
JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, Knockout, CSS preprocessors like Sass, Less, nice to have but not required
