Programmer / Developer Intern

Responsibilities

 

This candidate will be responsible for technically supporting the applications in KPIT for the NFS BIO.

 

This candidate needs to have knowledge and experience with ITIL, Change Control processes, .net development architecture. This candidate will need to have an understanding of the entire Software Development Lifecycle of the applications, and will be responsible to oversee all changes and enhancements of applications.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Provide Application support to end users and collaborate with the senior technical Subject Matter Experts
  • Collaborate with IT partners to deploy applications, help SME get applications ready for deployment.
  • Communicate professionally with internal business partners and facility support personnel and co-workers.
  • Track/update information in the Remedy Ticketing Systems and be the service delivery manager for Remedy for NFS BIO.
  • Collaborate with technical staff and vendors, both internally and externally to resolve outstanding issues.
  • For development, standards and best practices will need to be adhered to, and applied to meet client/user specifications, overseeing the health of applications.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and conduct analysis for efficient program/ application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.

Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within the last year.

  • Working on a Bachelors degree in a computer science or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in development of new application or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of ITIL practices and .net/sql for systems used.
  • A working knowledge of application principles, concepts, practices and standards. 
  • Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in information technology and programming, plus working knowledge of other related fields.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Information Technology and application development classes
  • Strong understanding of SDLC Software development life cycle
  • Experience in MS .net architecture and SQL data bases
  • Experience in Agile development practices
  • Change Management and Build and release experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem solving skills.
  • Must have a passion for providing excellent customer support to all types of customers as well as impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to interact with multiple levels of personnel within the organization.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
  • Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
