Job Description

Business Analyst Intern

Work Location: Westford, MA

The mission of the Juniper Digital Experience and Automation (DEA) team (part of the Juniper Customer Success and Support Organization) is to delight external and internal customers by delivering efficient, innovative solutions that are proactive, easy to use and self-service focused. All functions within Customer Success and Support are in DEA scope and includes Customer Support (Technical Support, Customer Care), Professional Services, and Advanced Services functions.

DEA is at the heart of the CSS digital strategy. We integrate and build the innovative technologies that enables the CSS business with a focus on business agility and efficiency.


The Business Analyst Intern role will assist in studying proposed automation focused projects to validate business feasibility and value. The ideal candidate must be a team player, creative, inquisitive, enjoy learning about new technologies and business models, have an excellent work ethic and bring passion to their work. They should also possess excellent communication skills and be curious about how the business operates and how technology can change that.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in writing, developing and maintaining test cases in a tracking system (e.g. HPQC, JIRA, etc…).

* Must have excellent written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills
* Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* The prospective candidate is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
* Collaborate with business owners to understand the proposed project, cost and potential business impact (Return on Investment)

Other Duties

* Eliciting, analyzing and communicating business needs
* Analyze business problems and propose solutions
* Creating and managing detailed, clear written business and functional requirements for projects of low to medium complexity
* Gaining project stakeholder acceptance of documented requirements and proposed solution
* Participating in reviews of developer, architect and quality assurance deliverables to ensure alignment with documented requirements
* Capturing, writing and communicating accurate meeting minutes
* Identifying, addressing, negotiating, recording, reporting, managing and escalating action items, risks and issues associated to the project

* Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrates strong analytical skills
* Demonstrates ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Able to prioritize and organize work duties accordingly

Minimum Qualifications

* The prospective candidate is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
* Must be returning to school Fall 2019 to be eligible
