Job Description

Software Engineering Jersey City, NJ. Develop scalable software solutions for clients utilizing the full web technology stack.

Analyze business requirements for clients, and collaborate with technical architects to design applications that meet business needs. Participate in design reviews and provide input on high-level designs. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to design specifications. Develop, build, and deploy components to production. Deliver production-ready code and help minimize defects in the quality assurance (QA) phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Support QA by fixing assigned defects throughout testing phase of the SDLC. Support release implementation, and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that occur during production phase. Identify efficiencies and improvements to design documentation and coding methodologies and practices.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Software Engineer/Developer or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: software development lifecycle (SDLC) from inception through implementation; translating business requirements into functional requirements documentation; developing, deploying, and supporting distributed applications in a production environment; performing unit, integration, and system testing; Open Source Java frameworks, including Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and Apache Kafka; Java; JavaScript such as JQuery, Ember, Angular or DOJO; Agile development process; Test Driven Development (TDD); GIT or SVN; Continuous Integration (CI) tools including Jenkins using Maven Builder; performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Yourkit, or XRebel; Oracle RDBMS; and SQL.
