Job Description

Events Coordinator intern reports to the Union Depot Events Supervisor and assists in the day-of coordination of private events at Union Depot. Events Coordinator intern may be assigned to work events such as weddings, corporate galas, business meetings, multicultural festivals, and conferences. Internship will include hands-on training in event venue operations, coordination of vendor load-in, troubleshooting day-of issues, and client relations in areas of A/V, customer service, and venue-related inquiries. Events Coordinator intern will coordinate with in-house Janitorial, Parking, Security, and Engineering vendors, as well as caterers and other event vendors to ensure each private event is a success. Event Coordinator intern will manage event equipment, report missing/ broken items from events, report to management on any event positives or negatives, and report to Event Supervisor if inventory or supplies need to be re-stocked. Intern may also have the opportunity to shadow prospective client tours and final walk-throughs with Venue Sales Manager and Event Supervisor. The ideal candidate for the Events Coordinator internship is someone who is eager to learn the tools they will need to take on the responsibility of coordinating an event independently.

* Driver's License
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* High degree of attention to detail
* On-the-spot problem solving
* Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
* Ability to lift over 25 pounds
* Ability to be on your feet for several hours
* Weekend and evening availability


* Bachelor's degree
* College student or recent graduate
* Experience in event planning/ coordination
