What you'll do: Jones Logistics is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Technology team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Hattiesburg, MS. In this role you will interact with our operations and accounting teams to understand their system needs and deliver technology solutions. The successful candidate will elicit requirements for configurations, integrations, and reports for our transportation management system (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and work with vendors and coworkers to solve business problems.

This is an entry level, early-career position. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Accounting with relevant coursework and experience in a business environment (internship, current job, etc.). Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with business areas to document business processes, gaps, and requirements
* Partner with 3rd-party vendors to configure and implement software changes in TMS and ERP systems
* Coordinate with 3rd-party vendors to assist with operations and accounting teams' support cases or projects
* Provide assistance during software implementation projects; support systems after go-live
* Develop and modify reports, views, stored procedures, and ad-hoc queries using Microsoft SQL Server tools

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Solid analytical and conceptual thinking skills
* Programming experience and/or knowledge of relational databases a "great to have"
