Job Description

Accepts photo assignment from Editor-In-Chief and shoots photos by established deadline. Edits raw photos and works with editors to ensure the production of quality images for publication. Supplies photo information, including names and hometowns of all persons in photos, and writing captions for each photo submitted. Maintains photo library.

Required Experience

* High School graduate or equivalent
* Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at JCCC each semester and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
* Concurrent enrollment in or completion of Jour 145, Digital Photojournalism or equivalent, preferred
* Previous student publication experience in photography valuable but not required. Experience with Photoshop a plus
