Job Description

Job Summary: Lead the activities associated with operating SER's Time and Frequency Lab.


* Monitor and maintain the ensemble of atomic clocks and distribution systems.

* Maintain and update the image of the facility.

* Support flight oscillator tests with coordination of reference sources.

* Maintain traceability to NIST and the BIPM.

* Support sponsor and Lab PNT and time transfer activities.

* Plan and propose purchases.

Required Qualifications:

* B.S. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience working with frequency standards.
* Strong practical and analytical skills.
* In depth, hands-on experience in the design, development, test, or operation of time generation, distribution, and synchronization systems.
* Strong communications, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Part-time position 10 - 30 hours/week.

Desired Qualifications:

* Five or more years experience working with frequency standards.
