Job Description:

Performs and demonstrates competency, proficiency and understanding of the test procedures in the Clinical Laboratory up to and including high complexity testing.

Education:

* Bachelor of Science Biology or
* Bachelor of Science Biochemistry or Chemistry or
* Bachelor of Science Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or
* Bachelor of Science Microbiology Required or

Experience:

* If no B.S Degree in the above areas, must have a Bachelor's Degree with specific completed course requirements outlined below: 16 semester or equivalent quarter units of chemistry, which must include clinical chemistry or analytical and biochemistry. 18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology, which must include hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology. 3 semester or equivalent quarter units of physics (light and electricity).

Certifications/Licensures:

* CLS - Clinical Laboratory Scientist License - Current California Required

Company History

In 1997, John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek merged with Mt. Diablo Medical Center in Concord to form the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System. The creation of the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System ensured that comprehensive, high-quality health care services remained in the community and that important decisions about the community's health care needs continued to be made locally.
