Job Description

Overview

This position will report to the Sr. Food Scientist who oversees chocolate panning and enrobing production development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Over the course of the internship the student will learn our processes used to design new items for our customers, how to troubleshoot issues, how to work with our ingredient vendors, interact with other internal departments on projects, and participate in plant trials. Processes that will be covered include hot panning, cold panning, chocolate panning and nut butters.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

* Student working toward a BS or Masters in Food Science
* Strong interest in Candy Technology or is enrolled in a Candy Technology Program
* Working knowledge of sugar and fat crystallization processes
* Strong desire to learn new things
* Excellent communication and cross functional team work skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets
* Experience with ProductVision a plus, but not required
* Highly motivated
