Job Description

Our client is a global leader in plastic design and manufacturing. They over 25 manufacturing sites located in 20+ countries throughout the globe.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering
  • 5 years+ of related experience
  • Familiarity with injection machinery, and plastics processing (multiple technologies)
  • Background and familiarity with R&D and new product development processes
  • Excellent project management
  • Ability to partner with operations and maintenance teams in the plant
  • Background in implementing continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing setting.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal challenge for this position is to advance the use of new product/technology integration into the injection molding manufacturing process and continuously improve our capabilities to meet our customer's dynamic needs for new products and faster manufacturability.

This position will be responsible for enabling and expanding injection molding manufacturing capabilities of assigned injection molding processes/profiles to produce customer product at a high level of quality while optimizing processing parameters.

This role will be responsible for developing new injection molding manufacturing processes, procedures, protocols, and supporting systems to enable manufacturing to meet customer expectations and grow the business.

The candidate must have background and work experience in injection molding manufacturing/continuous improvement projects, working within a team and influencing others.

The ability to create and implement new work processes, systems, help chains, implementation plans, and training/skill development within the structure of the current manufacturing and maintenance teams.

The ability to work "out of the box" to create quick and simple solutions, based on ABS principles.

The ability to reflect back on the entire project to derive lessons learned, and to incorporate those lessons learned into continuous improvements for further streamlining of the process, for future iterations.
