Job Description

Our client is a global leader in plastic and aluminum design, manufacturing and high speed capping equipment/application systems.

This position is accountable for the management of a wide range of responsibilities, including providing leadership and guidance that establishes, sustains and maintains safety, training and quality systems that improve the overall effectiveness of the plant.

This position is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the quality auditors and actively managing, coaching, and counseling employees. The primary emphasis of this position is to ensure a quality product is produced at all times.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years industry experience.

Plastics background is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
12-hour shifts with 4 days on and 4 days off with the occasional overtime


  • Provide supervisor and guidance for quality auditors on shift.
  • Ensure decisions are made based on approved quality standards
  • Work together to calibrate quality standards to meet customer and company standards.
  • Expectation is to manage from the floor
  • Responsible for shift staffing, filling overtime and vacations as needed
  • Perform and Manage containments
  • Containment reporting
  • Communicate with leadership as necessary to resolve the issue(s)
  • Work with production to correct the issue
  • Has authority to shut down a line when necessary
  • Participates in the hiring and selection of new employees.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of industrial experience
  • Prefer plastics background in compression and injection molding operations and previous Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of various computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related computer software
  • programs.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate others with enthusiasm and drive.
  • Provides effective feedback and specific performance improvement guidance to employees.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to understand complex production processes, and a knowledge of the product from the internal and external customers' perspective.
  • Effective managerial leadership skills and
  • the ability to lead organizational change processes to improve worker attitudes, involvement, and organizational results.
  • Strong working knowledge of Company policies and standards in the areas of safety, personnel, quality, and manufacturing. Highly-developed communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of OEE, industrial metrics, and performance measurement systems.
  • Basic financial knowledge and ability to control cost metrics for the shift.
  • Analyze shift or plant performance data relative to functional specialty and provide the shift leader or Manager with assessments of opportunity
  • Facilitate employee adherence to requirements of your departmental specialty
  • Actively supports and participates in plant quality improvement & cost reduction programs
  • Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment
  • Participate in work-related training programs
  • Close visual acuity to perform computer tasks, read & develop spreadsheets, read financial data, etc.
  • Able to travel without assistance as required by the specific role
  • Able to participate in meetings and discussions with peer group and management team, and interact with employees in multiple locations and settings
