Job Description

Job Title: Assembly

Department: Production

Reports To: Operations Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non - Exempt

Pay Rate: Full Time, $12/hr, eligible for overtime

Position Summary: Precision assemblies or sub-assemblies of small or medium size parts involving a number of parts, or erection of larger units having a limited number of parts and fairly liberal tolerances. Requires fitting and adjusting to meet operating requirements of products, use of hand and simple power tools.

Examples of Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Perform bench type process to complete mechanical & electrical assemblies &/or subassemblies.

2. Process scrap materials.

3. Process warranty repairs.

3. Report defective parts/materials to supervisor.

4. Offer suggestions for improving efficiency and/or profitability of operations.

5. Maintain neat & clean work area.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in factory/warehouse helpful

Specific Skills: Must be able to follow established methods and procedures.

Specialized Knowledge: N/A

Licenses: N/A

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials of up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach. Work is performed in a shop environment. Exposed to any number of elements but with none present t the extent of being disagreeable. Work requires stooping, crouching, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions; May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another during the assembly process.
