Metro Sales Representative

As a Metro Sales Representative working out of your home office, you will be a senior member of our winning Sales team. James Hardie is a $1.5B world-leader in fiber-cement building materials, and we are looking for team members who are Smart, Driven, and Real.
Consider this. Our Metro Sales Rep works collaboratively with the Area/Regional Sales Manager on some of the most important projects in the building materials and manufacturing industry. We currently have an opening for a Metro Sales Rep in the Washington D.C. market to strategically target potential customers (builders, architects and developers) to generate and grow new business and to successfully convert the target audience from using traditional building products to using James Hardie products. Our Metro Sales Rep is a specialist role focused on Repair and Remodel (R&R), Multi-family (MF) or Single Family New Construction (SFNC) within the Seattle Metro area.
You possess strong account management skills with a proven track record of delivering results in a market where you are in the dominant market position and you are able to sell based on technical and value proposition rather than price. You have a strong hunter mentality, finding and developing new opportunities with current and new customers but you also have an ability to upsell and engage in high touch and support of your customers. In addition, you can provide evidence of your ability to execute a sales process, conduct a value add sales presentation and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Bachelor degree (in Business/Sales/Marketing preferred)
• 5 or more years of successful outside sales experience selling value-added, whole solution products to customers within the consumer durables, manufacturing, telecommunications, or other transferable industry
• Valid driver’s license
