Job Description

We are currently seeking an entry level Control Systems Field Engineer to be based in our New York City office. This Control Systems Field Engineer will spend the majority of his/her time performing maintenance, testing, start up and integration of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems at various client sites.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Assisting with maintenance of existing PLC SCADA systems, including making changes to both PLC and HMI code.
* Assisting with programming and commissioning for PLC based SCADA systems
* Planning, cost development, management and scheduling for assigned projects
* Designing of hardware and software associated with PLC based SCADA systems
* Meet with clients to discuss project progress
* Basic knowledge of basic control system engineering principles
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
* Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) certification through ISA is preferred
* 0 to 2 years of specialized work experience with PLC hardware and software
* 0 to 2 years of specialized work experience with SCADA systems
* 0 to 2 years of hands-on field experience with instrumentation commonly used in control systems
* 25% travel is required
* Night work is often required for critical systems
* Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley and Modicon PLCs preferred
* Experience with Wonderware, WinCC and IFIX software packages preferred
