This position will support public transit clients with tasks related to conducting comprehensive business process reviews of various areas, including finance, operations, human resources, procurement, etc.

Potential task work includes evaluating and documenting current processes; analyzing current processes to identify risks, redundancies, overlaps, inefficiencies, as well as to offer alternatives for business process reengineering; developing system and operation models to use in developing new processes for various tasks and responsibilities; cost analyses for proposed business processes reengineering; implementing proposed business processes reengineering; etc.

The position will support the team and client work to identify and determine those areas requiring process improvements as well as identifying any information technology systems, which could facilitate the reengineering efforts.

The position will require the candidate to work with project teams and clients to support the reviews and any proposed transformation changes to help achieve the clients' business goals and objectives.

Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

Requires experience with business process reengineering, transportation planning or related research, including a basic understanding of transit funding, finances and economics, and have strong analytic and quantitative skills


* Undergraduate or higher degree in engineering, computer science, transportation planning or related field
* Masters of Business degree is a plus
* At least 5 years of experience conducting business process reviews and reengineering as well as supporting either technology project development or other transportation research
* At least 3 years of experience supervising and managing project teams
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills
* Direct experience working with transportation agencies on strategy, economic or technology projects
* Experience in client, task, schedule, and financial management
* Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of team members at all organizational levels
* Demonstrated experience in delivering written reports summarizing research or technical outcomes
* Knowledge of business process requirements
* Proficiency with industry-standard database software and key business process related software
