This is advanced level technical work in functional areas of project administration and management. Employee is the Owner's Verification Firm's (OVF) Roadway Lead for a large Design-Build Interstate Interchange Reconstruction Project representing the owning State Agency. This position is a key team member of the OVF team in Georgia.

Employee will perform detailed Quality Audits of Contractor Quality Acceptance Firm, review Construction Working (Shop) Drawings, review and approve temporary traffic control & staging plans, manage the traffic control tracking database, perform technical compliance reviews of Construction field changes and supervise lower level inspectors performing routine to moderately complex inspections of roadway construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Work includes monitoring traffic control and erosion control on the Project. Work also includes monitoring construction payment submittals; writing or supervising the preparation of reports and correspondence; and working and communicating with the Construction Quality Acceptance Firm(CQAF) and Developer's supervisors. Attend various meetings, review meeting minutes, review and comment on shop drawings and field change documentation.

* Thorough knowledge of specifications and standards, acceptable construction practices, materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction and engineering.
* Thorough knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations related to highway/transportation engineering.
* Ability to read and comprehend construction plans and all other documents associated with the Project.
* Shall be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law.
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive transportation engineering/construction experience or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
* Professional Engineer Registration in Georgia or ability to obtain is preferred.
* Large to Mega highway/roadway project experience is preferred
