Associate Automation Engineer - 1600651

Description

Itron's corporate office in Liberty Lake, WA is seeking a motivated Automation Engineer with heavy programming and software development skills. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Work as a member of a software development team and participate in team projects.
- Assist in design, development and troubleshooting of software sub-systems.
- Complete deliverables in identified schedules.
- Assist with problem investigation and resolution.
- Assist in implementing software process improvements.
- Collaborate with other development and test engineers during design, development, troubleshooting, deployment and maintenance.
- Review, verify and produce quality technical documentation.
- Assist with software configuration management, software lifecycle & defect management.

Experience:
Requires no professional experience: Entry point for college graduate. Experience with object oriented and structured analysis & design preferred. Programming development skills in C#, C++, Java, Python, SQL, Oracle or similar.

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
Travel: 1-10%
Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
