Job Description

Oldest and long-term Industry Leader in their vertical is seeking a C++ firmware Developer for their Norcross, GA based team. They need a confident and experienced developer to design, develop and maintain Embedded firmware for our product lines. Candidates must have experience with developing production quality firmware and have demonstrated skills both in implementing new firmware design as well as analysing and modifying firmware applications written by others. You should have a strong understanding of advanced debugging/troubleshooting techniques and working knowledge of source code control and defect tracking systems. You will be responsible for design documentation, automated unit tests, and collaboration with team members on the testing of firmware features.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local and remote team members
  • Design, develop and unit test firmware features
  • Design, develop and execute unit tests
  • Isolate and resolve defects
  • Document designs and test cases
  • Test, debug, monitor and document changes for firmware development.
  • Proficient with firmware design tools.
  • Convert product features into commercially viable prototypes.
  • Work closely with other departments for testing requirements and to optimize deployments
  • Reaches out to, and works well with both inside and outside resources to solve problems
  • Support multiple projects, as assigned, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years' experience
  • Fluent in C++; experience with c# a plus
  • Expertise in design, integration, and testing of Embedded systems
  • Proficient with Windows and Linux build environments
  • Familiar with Linux command line and Shell commands
  • Experience throughout the entire firmware development cycle, including specification, design, integration, building, testing, documentation, QA, and release procedures
  • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred but may be substituted for years of experience
