Seeking an Automation Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for building and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, while maintaining and adding to the existing automation framework.

With the expected growth over the next few years, new and exciting challenges will be faced. The mission of the team is to build and deploy the tools, platforms, and applications that make it possible to plan, deploy, monitor and manage our datacenters, networks, and applications used here.

Here you will be responsible for the accurate testing of software programs against design specifications and user requirements using state of the art automation techniques. The primary responsibility of this job is to design, develop, and maintain the automation framework and scripts for web applications, web services and mobile apps.

The essential functions and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and executing test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation. Analyzing test results for validity, clarity and completeness.
  • Developing and executing functional and regression test cases to include participating in design review meetings, defect triage meetings.
  • Assisting with customer acceptance testing.
  • Participating in software deployment planning and implementation.
  • Estimating test efforts, analyze and communicate test results and participate in day to day QA Activities.
  • Adding to our company's performance and scalability testing efforts and improve the test frameworks, tools and technologies used by the organization to maintain a high-quality bar.
  • Collaborating with Development, QA and the Business Unit to design and implement test and validation strategies.
  • Executing and managing test cases and results; report on test results and defect metrics.
  • Creating, executing and troubleshooting automated test scenarios across our systems.
  • Contributing to robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing.
  • Contributing to the building of a continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process improvement activities.
  • Identifying required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools that address specific needs.
  • Maintaining a high-quality bar in a complex and constantly evolving workspace according to QA department's success metrics.

To be successful, you should possess most of the following:

  • 3+ years of Experience with software testing and automated test techniques with a strong focus on quality throughout the entire software development cycle.
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in Microsoft technologies (Visual Basic, .NET, VBScript, C#, JavaScript)
  • 3+ years of experience with writing complex SQL queries.
  • Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures and Multithreading concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate functional requirements and use cases into working test plans and automated test scripts.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration practices and software development life cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.

Any experience with these would be a plus:

  • Relational database knowledge (database schema, tables).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio testing tools.
  • Experience with open source automation Framework such as: Selenium Webdriver
  • Experience with Python Scripting is desired
  • Experience troubleshooting or configuring hardware (pcs, Servers).
  • Experience troubleshooting software installations.
  • Software technical support experience.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Azure
