Database Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA 30346

Direct Hire: Targeting $75K - $90K

*Looking for a mid-level developer to work in the data warehouse and who is strong with SSIS and SQL.

Basic Function and Scope:

The Database Developer participates in the incremental development and support of data collection from a variety of systems, often via SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and queries. This includes loading, transforming and extracting of data from/to the data warehouse. Participates throughout the project life cycle, from planning to production implementation, with emphasis on business requirements, analysis and follow-through to production.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements stored procedures, SSIS Packages, and queries.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
  • Under the general direction of the team lead, relies on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of intermediate tasks.
  • Demonstrates a moderate degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Create reports or electronic files as needed. Convert data from various file formats to relational database (ETL).
  • Work with technical resources to ensure accurate translation of specifications into workable application code. Work with outside vendors and sister companies on coordinating data capture.
  • Work with business users on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • At least 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience. 1+ years in T-SQL, and SSIS
  • Firm SQL and SSIS skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communications skills. Ability, desire, and focus to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to draft communications that are clear, concise, complete and professional.
  • Demonstrates organizational
  • Familiar with source control systems such as TFS.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time in the performance of duties.
