Job Description

Organization that engineers and manufactures wireless monitoring hardware and software is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer. This a small company that is continually gaining market share by offering clients a superior product and an exceptional customer experience.

As a Direct Hire this employer offers supported medical health care, dental, vision and 401K plans as well as lucrative PTO.

Engineering Duties:

  • Develop, implement and document minor and major firmware revisions to existing products.
  • Participate in developing, updating and modifying new products, hardware and firmware.
  • Create, update and modify manufacturing test fixtures, test equipment and test procedures.
  • Create, update and modify manufacturing BoMs and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Work with suppliers to begin or improve production of existing and new products.
  • Maintain configuration control of existing and developing products.

Sales and Customer Support Duties:

  • Participate with Sales Engineers, either on site or via telephone conference/Internet, sales presentations and product demos
  • Provide our customers hands-on training relating to product installation, product operations and use of our proprietary software
  • Collaborate with our Sales Engineers regarding customizing or the feasibility of providing a unique solution
  • Provide engineering level support to our Technical Support Department
  • Provide engineering level support directly to our customers

To be successful; you should possess most of the following:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience building Circuit Boards
  • Preferred hands-on experience with:
    • Embedded systems
    • PIC microcontrollers
    • bit level programming
    • wireless communications, specifically cellular modems
    • Schematic drawing and capture applications
    • Software simulations of hardware
    • Compliance testing for radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility
    • Design for UL Safety requirements
