Job Description

Pulpak - Utility Position

We currently have an opening for a Pulpak in our Converting Department at our Northlake manufacturing facility located at 401 Northwest Ave, Northlake, IL 60164. This container plant manufactures corrugated packaging products.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on cleanliness and safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. 

 Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely, operating Pul Pak/Forklifts
  • Safely, operating machinery
  • The ability to practice housekeeping
  • Reading factory orders
  • Utilizing basic shop math such as accurately reading tape measures, gauges and other testing equipment.
  • Consistent quality and count inspection of a product.
  • Accurately completing quality and administrative document checks to ensure specific directions are followed.
  • Candidates will clear the lines in the Corrugator Department and remove the units to be sent to the proper place.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.  Applicants must have a stable work history, good attendance record, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team.  Experience in the corrugated industry is a plus. New employees will be on a probationary status for 60 days, during which training is provided. Starting wage during probationary period is $15.97.

Candidates must be willing to work weekends, and overtime as required.

The hiring process for successful candidate will include a pre-employment test, interview, background check and a health/drug screen.
