Job Description



 First Shift 7:00AM to 3:00PM, Second Shift – 3PM to 11PM, Third shift – 11PM to 7AM

**3 Shift Availability Required**


Baler operators bale waste material, load waste materials into rail cars and trucks, and measure and record the weight of waste shipments.

Baler operators report to the Corrugator Superintendent.



Primary baler operator duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Following all safety rules and practices
*Accurately weighing waste bales, and recording bale weights on bale tallies
*Loading waste bales into rail trailers
*Feeding waste into the shredder / hogger
*Obtaining waste loads from production areas as directed
*Maintaining a clean and organized baler room
*Loading seconds and other non-shredded waste into trucks for shipment
*Working with returned goods
*Cleaning the baler and notifying maintenance of problems as necessary
*Monthly oiling the baler twister and inserter chains
*Changing the divertor overflow box filters every three months
*Salvaging materials for protection sheets and other uses
*Receiving materials and supplies
*Performing other duties as directed by the corrugator superintendent.



*Must be experienced in working with multiple styles of forklifts

*Able to work in a fast paced environment required

* Knowledge of general computer operation preferred

* Demonstrated success in safety, attendance & quality of work

* HS Diploma or equivalent is required

*Drug Free work environment

*Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

*Effective communication skills (English speaking required)


All applicants are required to pass a basic skills assessment, background check, drug screen & physical before beginning work.


Facility hours of operations are 11pm Sunday – 11pm Friday each week with three shifts of work. (11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm) Some overtime may be required.
