Maryland Heights Corrugated is a division of International Paper. This facility manufactures corrugated sheets. Requirements for this position are: *candidate must be 18 years of age or older * have a stable work history with more than 2 years at each job *must be willing to work 2nd and 3rd shifts *must be willing to work overtime *must successfully complere pre-employment testing, interviews, pre-employment health assessment, drug screen, background and reference checks *having manufacturing experience is preferred.

Job Description:

Background: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent skills, to join our Maryland Heights Sheet Feeder Corrugator team. The indiviual will be required to diagnose, repair, replace and install all plant electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for all plant operating equipment. Skills in process control, PLC control systems, etc is highly desirable.

Key Functions: Mechanics are responsible for machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading and installation within a high volume, continuous-run working environment. Performs predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility; Performs PM's to include lubrication; Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC. Pneumatic diagrams, hydraulic diagrams; Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components; Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls AC/DC, pneumatinc equipment, hydraulic equipment; perform fabrication of equipment,(welding, arc and gas); perform installation of conduit; observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble; Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements; Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments; Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electical equipment.

Other Requirements: Five(5) years journeyman level mechanics experience is preferred. Must have in-depth knowledge and practical application experience in electical, electronics, PLC's, cutting/welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam and boiler systems and conveyor systems. Requires the ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work additional and flexible hours including weekends as needed.
