Job Description

SUMMARY - As a Senior Photographer, you will be responsible for following the visual standards set by InterDesign and its Lifestyle brands, while continually driving the team to excellence through coaching, training and process improvement. This role will lead on-brand quality imagery and videos to support all cross-channel marketing outlets. In addition, this role plays a lead in identifying and providing innovative solutions (process, technology and resourcing) that supports the evolving needs to the photography/video team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to lead a team and produce on-brand quality imagery and videos to support all cross-channel marketing outlets. Looking for collaboration and lead on set design and execution

Ability to make positive and creative suggestions for environmental shots

Work in a fast-paced, high volume environment with tight deadlines to consistently produce superior photos in a timely manner

In-depth knowledge of studio lighting

Ensure sellable and accurate product images by observing product details, studying on-line competition and working closely with creative team. Must capture the functionality, features, benefits and uniqueness of individual products

Team player that will receive art direction and staging instructions from creative and marketing teams. Work collaboratively to produce high-quality images that are consistent and adhere to established standards

Ability to communicate clearly with managers and/or marketing about photography projects. Keep manager informed on all projects and timelines

Manage expectations to images for timely corruption and partner with in-house retouching team

Maintain and care for the studio, all studio equipment, products, props and supplies. Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Keep an organized inventory of images, supplies and props

Bachelor degree in photography or equivalent experience

5+ years of digital studio experience or equivalent

Knowledge of industry trends related to current popular themes, lighting, angles, etc. for product setting and positioning props for product

Experience with Canon photography equipment and Lowell lighting equipment

Proficient in CaptureOne PRO 8 Software Canon Photo Equipment, and proficient with Photoshop CS6

Excellent knowledge of Mac

Must have an understanding of how and why people shop online and what they look for

Experience in E-commerce photography and catalog photography is a plus

Extensive experience working with on-white and the required hardware including tents and lighting

Strong knowledge of photography lighting techniques

Must have excellent technical and photographic skills with an eye for attention to detail

Demonstrate the ability to manage a team, and high volumes of workflow including, prioritizing and planning

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment

A self-starter, with a strong sense of teamwork in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment

Excellent organization and communication skills required

Extensive experience working with on-white and the required hardware including tents and lighting

Good design judgment

Excellent time management skills

Strong conceptual skills

Work well under pressure and very attentive to details.

Solid work ethic and able to work extra hours occasionally.

Must be able to provide portfolio of original work
