Job Description:

Design Technology Solutions (DTS) is part of a large technology research and development organization. Our job is to lead an industry and change the world. As a software engineer in our group, you will maintain and develop strong interaction and working relations with Design, Quality & Reliability and Technology Development process teams. Working with other group members, you will support research and technology development activities in the area of stress and thermal modeling developing and integrating advanced simulation software, to facilitate the investigation of trade-offs when analyzing technology and design options. You will also be responsible for the investigation of physical phenomena associated with the incorporation of new process steps and the development of test structures to quantify the impact that temperature has on chip design, hot spot quantification, reliability and thermal management at the sub-micron scale. You will bring in-house state of the art models and collaborate in the internal development of new ones to support continuous design and process development improvement.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through your educational level research and/or relevant job/internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related disciplines.

Additional Qualifications:

Completed graduate level courses/projects focusing on heat transfer and thermal analysis, linear and nonlinear modeling of thermally induced stress/strain fields in solids.

C/C /Fortran programming skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate level courses in numerical methods such as Finite Element, Finite difference, spectral methods and nanoscale transport.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
