Customer System Validation & Debug Engineer

Job Description

Xeon CPU product-line is a key most profitable processor, offered by Intel to the Cloud Service Providers and enterprise businesses. Xeon Server products are executing endless mission-critical processes daily around the world, the quality expectation are therefore exceptionally high.

Intel Validation Engineering (IVE) delivers Xeon processors that are efficient, fully functional, secure, high performance products - fast with predictability - to delight our customers. Within IVE, the Functional Validation Data Center group (FVDC) fulfills this promise for Data Center products.

In this role you will partner with DCPAE and DPG to:

* Debug and Solve critical customer issues.
* Drive strategic initiatives to accelerate debug throughput.
* Define and enable customer debug capabilities.
* Translate customer requirements and learning from validation escapes into Functional Validation Plans.
* Engage with TSCG to drive DCPAE requests into actions.
* Partner with Quality Initiative and @Scale Validation teams to drive quality to the server products we develop.

In addition to the qualifications listed below the ideal candidate will also show:

* Good communication skills.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in 4 or more of the following:

* System debug and validation experience of Intel architecture products.
* Intel Architecture, Operating Systems, Drivers, BIOS, and FW.
* SOC technologies such as: Power management, reset sequence, RAS, Patch, fuses, SoC fabric and good IP knowledge (PCIE/Memory-Controller/SoC-fabric etc..)
* HW/SW debug solutions such as AFD, JTAG (LTB/XDP, CCA), Debug scripts, and lab equipment (Scopes, Logic Analyzers).

Preferred qualifications:

* Experience with Data Center OxM customers is a big plus
* Programming Skills: Python, C/C++ highly desirable
