Job Description:

This position is a technical solutions sales role reporting to the Cloud Service Provider Technology Solutions Sales group supporting the cloud segment.

Cloud TSS for Function as a Service / Containers as a Service Data Center Infrastructure Technology Sales. You will work with all audiences to accelerate adoption of Intel-based platforms and document gaps/provide feedback to solution stakeholders including: solution architects, vertical/horizontal business leaders and partners, Original Equipment Manufacturers, system integrators, solution integrators, solution providers, and Independent Software Vendors & service providers. As a Senior Sales Architect and Technologist:

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Advising and influencing cloud customers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), partners and scale engine programs.
* Understanding the business use-cases and technical merits of an Intel data center solution and co-owning relationships with customer/ partner decision makers to rapidly influence the customers purchasing decision.
* Set priorities for the global virtual team.
* Get results across boundaries.
* Ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
* Managing the strategic direction in a significant dollar volume territory usually spanning a large geographic area consisting of customers that are cloud service providers, Original Equipment Manufacturers, distributors, and major enterprise accounts.
* Manages the technology recommendations and decisions for the region including the assignment of quotas and territories.
* Integrating company operations within the regions, account coverage issues and integrating different company operations within the district.
* Ramping the impact of Intel in the fast growing area of 'Function as a Service' and 'Containers as a Service'.
* Providing direct technical assistance to customers and partners, interfacing with senior technical decision makers for Line of Business and Operational Technology Groups and representing customer market segment requirements back into the business unit for future product planning.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum of 10+ years in:
* Technology industry experience in and around the data center.
* Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes et al.)
* AWS Lambda and through knowledge of the Lambda architecture.
* Systems integration (SI), both proposals and hands-on work.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of K8s extensions for compute, network and storage.
* Understanding of Intel's strategy and plans in Containers is desirable.
* This role is west coast US based; Hillsboro, Oregon or Bay area California are preferred.

This is a HQ commissions-based role - which means SMG BU Sales Group aggregate KPI compensation.
