Job Description

Seeking an undergraduate intern to manage some of Intel Arizona's community outreach programs.

Responsibilities will include:

Interaction with many internal groups through stakeholder management to support employee volunteerism. Identify, plan and execute site-wide and business-unit specific projects, reporting to the Arizona Community Engagement Manager within the Global Public Affairs and Sustainability group.

Assist with project management and administration, communications, and overall program support.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Time Management

Intel relies on its community engagement programs to enable its License to Operate within its site communities and the student will be part of a small team responsible for building the company's reputation within the local community.

Part-time internship averaging 20 hours per week desired for 6-12 months. Candidates may be needed for occasional weekend or evening event support.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a BS or BA in Public Relations, Communications, Business or any related field of study.
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

At least 3-6 months of experience in:

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Project  management skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Tolerance of ambiguity
  • Attention to detail
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines and within flexible hours
  • Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility concepts
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Database entry
  • Event planning
