Job Description

Come and Join the Software and Services Group, you will be a member of a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary software team working closely with processor core/system architects. The team will utilize their technology with external customer High Performance Computing workloads in the target environment through a co-design effort. This will enable the evaluation of workloads for an exascale system as design alternatives are being considered.

This is a hands-on software engineering position requiring the ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team in a rapidly evolving technical environment.

Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • The software team is responsible for developing the software stack - runtime support, compilers, base support for debuggers, profilers, etc. 
  • The Developer will work on design and implementation of low level software for a new architecture, developing and evaluating software technology in conjunction with work the underlying system. 

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related field
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.
  • 12 months of experience working on runtime support, performance or debugging tools, or similar software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MPI, OpenMP highly desirable, including HPC application tuning
  • Knowledge of FPGA, GPGPU approaches a plus
  • Capable of working with a range of benchmarks and application workloads to understand tools and runtime support issues
