Power Performance Validation Engineer Intern Conv

Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platformlevel tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Presilicon Validation teams in improving postsilicon test content and providing feedback for future ondie debug features.


This position requires an individual with a healthy paranoia about bugs along with a strong vision for continuous improvements. Candidate must have strong background of debug, using lab tools to measure power, track logic signals, and create scripts to help with debug C, Perl, Python and IA32 assembly language. Experience with power and thermal management architecture, as well as silicon power and thermal characteristics is highly desirable. Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems is required. Experience with development processes and automation is a plus. A solid background in current platform architecture and connectivity is highly desirable. Ability to work in a fast paced lab environment is a must. The successful candidate will also possess good planning skills as well as good oral and written communication skills.
