Software Engineer, FaaS and Cloud Computing

The Window OS (WOS) Developer Tools and Runtimes team is searching for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join the team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn, grow and excel! You will participate in an innovative project and work on cutting edge technologies that will utilize some of the latest Intel technologies for AI, ML/DL and cloud computing to shape up the future. You will be responsible for development, analysis, and debug of the components involved in this project.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Working hand-in-hand with a group of experienced engineers to extend the Intel platform value in development tools and run times.- Influence/drive architecture and product intercept on Intel products- Reviewing and enabling processor and platform features for core managed run time and web run times.
  • Carry out competitive performance analysis, root causing and bug resolution including customer bugs.If you want to make an impact for Intel's future products, then come join us in the WOS Team!

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.     
  • Minimum 6 months experience with:
    • C/C++ coding skills or similar programming language (Java, C#, Python)
    • Computer Architecture
    • data structures and algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer microarchitecture (Intel x86/x64)
  • Capable of analyzing benchmarks and application workloads to understand compilation issues and possible approaches for optimization of C/C++ and / or managed applications such as C#, Java, and JavaScript
  • Experience in developing offline Ahead of time (AOT) and JIT compilers
  • Experience developing GCC, LLVM or similar compilers
  • Experience with programming tools and frameworks for Artificial Intelligence
