Power Delivery Research Scientist

Power Delivery Circuits & Systems Research group in Intel Labs is looking for a researcher to innovate and develop state of the art technologies in the area of DC-DC Converters, Energy Management, and Energy harvesting.

The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and perform research and develop new circuit architectures, design these complex mixed signal circuits on advanced Silicon processes, do simulations/analysis to assess circuit performance & validate platform functionality, as well as drive layout and conduct post-Si testing and characterization in order to successfully demonstrate the technology on silicon/system prototype. The candidate will work closely with engineers in business units within Intel to transfer these technologies into revenue products and provide necessary documentation/training to enable a successful product integration.

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with background/experience in low power analog / digital mixed signal circuit design.

Minimum 6 months of experience in the following:

  • ¬†Design in DC-DC voltage regulation, power converters, power control design & analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in/with:

  • Advanced silicon process taking power delivery designs from circuit to layout to silicon prototype is highly desired.
  • Digital RTL design, and taking the blocks through Synthesis/APR steps is a plus.
  • Energy harvesting circuits e.g. solar, thermal, RF, vibration, battery chargers is desirable.
