Market and Consumption Analyst Intern


You will be part of Microprocessor Marketing and Business Planning MMBP, a part of Intel's Sales and Marketing SMG.  MMBP is a highly-matrixed marketing organization responsible for setting and executing product platform strategies, calling demand, revenue and consumption for Intel's Client CCG product line. In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing segments relevant to Intel's product lines to improve Intel's monthly demand forecast, manufacturing build plan, financial plan, and/or roadmap and pricing strategies. Your responsibilities may include but not be limited to: Publication of monthly demand forecast that is distributed across the organization to a wide variety of key stakeholders Analysis of market indicators such as macroeconomic indicators, third party research reports, component orders, form factor price point trends, component average selling prices, and vendor market segment share Analysis of confidential internal data sets such as Intel billings, OEM reports and forecasts. Coordination and analysis of demand forecast inputs from internal partner organizations drive improvement of incoming demand signals Analysis of third party shipment and consumption data Working across the platform and component teams to conduct or coordinate component-relationship or function-relationship analysis or creation of forecast scenarios to support potential marketing initiatives and other drivers of supply & demand variability Interfacing with the MMBP teams and partner organizations product groups, sales & marketing and OEM account teams Presentation to management summarizing key findings, conclusions, and recommendations. This position is for an intern for the summer of 2018 only.

  • Demonstrated ability to distill disparate and highly detailed information into clear and impactful communication


Qualifications

The candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing an MBA graduating in 2019 or December 2018.
  • Must have the permanent right to work in US without sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant business experience
  • Extensive experience with Excel, particularly Pivot Tables , excel expertise and some database knowledge/experience
  • Understanding of supply line management and demand forecasting processes
  • Familiarity with Intel Architecture products and customers and an understanding of broader technology market drivers and trends
