Research Scientist


Come join the Intel Labs Security and Privacy Research Group. We are looking for a systems and security expert to conduct research on next generation data center security problems. This includes the security of personal and enterprise data in emerging cloud computing paradigms, as well as the security of data that is shared between the cloud and mobile devices such as phones and tablets.

You will identify new security trends, and develop prototypes to evaluate and improve the latest platform security technologies. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your work at internal and external forums and your innovations will lay the foundation for future Intel products.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS degree or a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other science/engineering related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in the following:

  • Systems programming and debug experience in Linux.
  • C, C++
  • ¬†x86 assembly.
  • Software development, ability to craft and integrate/debug solutions within existing frameworks/code.
  • Fundamental security concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge / Experience with:

  • Linux OS internals.
  • Virtualization and VMM internals/development.
  • Knowledge of x86 processor concepts like paging features, protected mode, etc.
  • Experience with cloud development environment.
  • Use of crypto.
