Network Software Engineer


Performs network product design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software network drivers.  Assignments include development of new programs and subprograms, as well as, enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.  Duties include designing, writing code, completing programming and developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results.  May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documentation of work and results.  These positions develop software drivers for our cloud, comms and enterprise  customers.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work as part of a multi-site team.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Good problem analysis and solving skills coupled with a strong drive to learn and teach others.


Qualifications

The candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other relater field.
  • 6 months experience or equivalent coursework in the following areas:
    • Windows, Linux, and/or VMware ESX base driver software development.
    • Ethernet protocols TCP/UDP/etc.
    • Debugging user and kernel mode problems development and debug tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ethernet, TCP/IP, Networking.
  • C development skills.
  • Kernel-mode driver development in Linux, Windows, and/or VMware ESX-Driver development experience on multiple operating systems recent versions of Windows, Linux, and ESX.
  • Implementing base drivers for Intel Ethernet.
  • Intel Architecture platform.
