Photonic component test engineer


We are looking for a Component test engineer to be responsible for the delivery of validated test data for optical and electrical wafer-level testing of silicon photonic components. This position is to provide the engineering support for the wafer-level testing of photonic components and be the technical point of contact between designers and the test team. Owning test scheduling, test file generation, data validation and collaborating with the test team on any required debug. Role and responsibilitiesSchedule tests based on prioritization, tool status, and test times Define test plan and generate all tests documentation including test catalogs, files, recipes, based on design requirements. Maintain test status and provide test updates and estimated completion dates. Validate test data Work with test team to schedule, monitor and debug any test issuesAttend and present at test data report-outs


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Must have a BS, preferably MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical discipline
2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in high-speed optical & photonic component characterization
1+ years Data analysis scripting with e.g. Matlab, Python, C++

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work proficiently in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with semiconductor lasers, electro-optic modulators, and PIN detectors
Experience with statistical data analysis and process using e.g. JMP
