Analog Validation Engineer

Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platformlevel tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Presilicon Validation teams in improving postsilicon test content and providing feedback for future ondie debug features.


Required Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering;
Semiconductor device physics, hardware debug tools (logic analyzers, high-speed scopes) , Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), Bench Test, Circuit Board Design, electrical/mixed signal waveform measurements, power profiling, circuit marginality validation, Statistical data analysis (JMP, Matlab, etc)
High volume manufacturing, Device testing at wafer sort/package, Microprocessor (PC & SoC) architecture, BIOS/Firmware/Driver/OS, Pre-silicon validation; Design For Test (DFT)/ Design for Manufacturability, Register Transfer Level (RTL) preferred full systems, characterization boards (TIU/SIU, MDV, test chip), PCB layout/library, IP test cards, enabling interposers (pre-silicon platform bringup), robotic handlers, mechanical design, thermal design, component heat sinks, thermal margining tools, and thermal controllers
Software & programming skills: Unix, Java, C++, Perl, Python, ITP, Verilog, Rocket/Cafe/Raccoon/Maestro SV tool infrastructure and debug tools preferred
Ability to work in a highly dynamic, interactive and independent environment with strong debugging and data analysis skills.
Fun and cheerful personality with excellent problem solving skills and desire to learn continually.
Unparalleled academic background with influential verbal, presentation and writing skills.
Cross-functional teamwork and technical documentation
Experience working in an AGILE environment and knowledge of Intel Architecture/IP preferred
