ASIC Intern Undergrad


Design the career of your dreams-at Intel as part of the Technology & Manufacturing Group (TMG), Intel Custom Foundry is looking for talented and ambitious individuals to develop ASIC design methodologies and collaterals, deploy them to design projects and internal Testchips on Intel Foundry process technology, and help build a winning team.

What you'll do

As an ASIC Intern at Intel, you will be working on activities involving leading edge System-on-Chip (SOC) designs, design methodologies, characterization studies, DFT techniques and QA flows for IP collaterals.

Length of Internship: 3 months

Period of Internship: May-August 2017


Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Understand customer product requirements and develop solutions to meet technical challenges.

- Execute on critical design studies, methodology evaluations, automation, collateral development.

- Work on parts of complex ASIC designs including logic design at the RTL level, logic synthesis, auto-place and route, extraction, timing & reliability convergence, layout verification of tape-out databases.

- Work on parts of defining, developing and delivering efficient design methodologies.

- Work on identifying quality checks and tests for various IPs used in design, test and automate checks on IPs finally delivered to ASIC designs

- Work on indicators, work flows, automation and other collaterals.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
- Minimum of 3 months experience in digital design principles in Digital Logic, VLSI CMOS circuits, VLSI layout, computer architecture, computer aided design tools.
- Familiar with usage of VLSI design relevant CAD tools such as Synopsys/Cadence ASIC tools.
- Minimum 3 months experience of Perl and/or Unix shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Familiarity with Tcl.
- System Verilog is a plus.
