Electrical Controls Engineer/Machinery - Akron, OH - Job 17-00547

Salary:
$65,000 to $80,000 Permanent Position with Benefits

An Akron based OEM is seeking to add an electrical controls engineer to their team. The primary mission of this role will be to design, implement, and support industrial machinery control systems. Duties will include the use of AutoCAD for system hardware layout, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and start-up/de-bug in the field. This position will require 20% international travel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BSEE or BSET
  • 5 plus years of experience with industrial machine control systems
  • Demonstrated experience with the design, configuration, and de-bug of PLC/HMI programs
  • Direct experience with RS Logix, FactoryTalk View, and Siemens S7/WinCC
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic controls, process control instrumentation, and motion control
  • Familiarity with network/communication protocols to include Modbus/Profibus, DeviceNet, etc.
  • Ability to travel and work in a team oriented environment to resolve problems on the shop floor.

Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
