Position Overview:

The General Financial Accountant & Analyst will provide senior-level support to IHI's revenue management and expense management functions (including AP & AR), as well as organization-wide budgeting and analysis efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced accountant who thrives on managing a variety of responsibilities and working with diverse groups of people. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis within IHI's Finance team.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Revenue & Expenses Management

* Serve as a generalist in finance, supplement internal financial operations functions in accounts payable, accounts receivable and other areas due to seasonal requirements, vacations, etc.
* Support collection procedures (letters, follow-up, etc.) and the proper application of cash receipts
* Perform timely reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, deferred revenue and revenue recognition supporting schedules
* Create and/or review a variety of financial presentations, reports, schedules and reconciliations
* Help drive the accurate and timely month-end close process
* Create, review and post journal entries in Great Plains
* Assist with or lead pieces of annual audits
* Participate in the team's efficiency and improvement by actively contributing thoughts, ideas and expertise

Budgeting & Analysis

* Work with IHI's New Business team on the creation and approval of new budgets
* Assist with training Program Managers, Budget Owners and others on budget creation, management and best practices as needed
* Generate and analyze monthly budget vs. actual reports via Adaptive Insights
* Prepare and present monthly PowerPoint presentations on budget vs. actual analysis to regional leads as necessary (North America, Middle East, Europe and others as assigned)
* Communicate and meet with budget owners as needed to review budget vs. actual results and resolve discrepancies
* Collaborate with the budgeting and analysis team to prepare detailed work plans for all budget work and assist with implementation
* Maintain budgets and revisions into Adaptive Planning Software
* Perform special projects as needed
* Participate in software selection and new system/application implementation
* Lead or act as a team member in improvement projects

Position Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

* At least five years' work experience in similar finance/accounting positions required
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience required
* Ability to manage multiple projects, partnerships and professional relationships
* Must be highly organized and flexible with keen attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize, establish timelines and meet deadline with minimal supervisions
* Flexible with a willingness and natural inclination to learn more, hone new skills and assist where/whenever a need arises
* Must have commitment to IHI's mission and values
* Experience using Adaptive Planning and Great Plains or similar software systems
