Sled Compliance Manager

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

THIS ROLE CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES

 

This position serves as the primary resource for negotiations, terms and conditions, Contracting Officer relationships and regulation interpretation, as well as partner teaming, and dealer programs for Public Sector contracts assigned.  The SLED Compliance Contract Manager conducts ongoing efforts to mitigate risk to the company and shall ensure that all internal approvals are in accordance with internal company directives.  The Contract Manager is empowered to work directly with SLED Compliance management and Teammates on assigned contracts, escalate issues to team management, execute best practices and contribute to process enhancements.  Strong, diplomatic written and verbal communication and fervent attention to detail are two key functions of this position.
 

  • Have a solid understanding of legal and contract management processes to mitigate risk to company.
  • Acquire and retain a deep understanding of all SLED contracts assigned in order to assist in selling from those contracts.
  • Work with the SLED compliance and other internal departments to ensure that every contract held by IPS SLED is in contract compliance.
  • Understand key manufacturers and publishers programs and solutions that partner with Insight.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend business process changes and improvements in departmental systems and processes.
  • In conjunction with Insight’s legal department, manage all SLED client and partner agreements including template development, maintenance and adaptation.
  • Understand when escalation of issues to higher management is necessary.
  • Must at times work nights and weekends to meet client (internal and external) deadlines.
  • Manage internal and external client communication professionally.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

 

Contract Compliance:

  • Acquires and retains broad knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to public sector entities in the U.S.
  • Acquires and retains broad understanding of legal, bid and contract management processes to mitigate risk to company.
  • Conduct various internal audits, as assigned, in order to ensure contract compliance on assigned contracts.
  • Ensure that accurate record taking and document storage occur on all assigned activities for audit purposes.
  • Participate in contract and/or program reviews conducted by clients as assigned.

 

Contract Liaison:

  • Ability to interface knowledgably with SLED Government contracting personnel including contract specialists, contracting officer technical representatives and contracting officers.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with contracting officers of major contracts assigned.
  • Ability to interface with public sector channel representatives of manufacturer and publisher partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key public sector channel representatives.
  • Ability to interface with sales, sales management and other internal departments to ensure that the best possible working relationships are built and maintained.

 

Contract Management:

  • In conjunction with SLED Compliance and other internal resources, develop and execute Contract Roll-Out programs (reporting, web-enablement, price list maintenance, trainings, sales tools, marketing plan, etc).
  • In conjunction with SLED Compliance resources, provides ongoing sales training on new and existing contracts.
  • Working with other resources as needed, completely manages all agreement and contract renewals.
  • As assigned, develop and manage contract level Small Business Subcontracting Plans.    
  • Interface with IPS Sales and Operations on issues regarding IPS contracts as needed.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of tools to enhance contract awareness, compliance and sales.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for department systems and processes and their relationship to other departments.

 

What we need from you to be successful in this role:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of 5 years industry experience in contract or program management; bachelor’s degree preferred and IT reseller and federal contract management experience preferred.
  • Must operate at the highest moral and ethical standards
  • Position requires an individual with strong organizational skills who is analytical, accurate, timely and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and follow-through on tasks with minimal supervision 
  • Power user of MS Outlook, Word, Access and Excel 
  • Strong mathematical abilities required.
  • Understanding of IT technology is required.
