Business Development Representative- (Sales Lead Qualification)

Job Description:
The BDR ultimately helps drive Datalink revenue by uncovering, nurturing and qualifying opportunities at target and white space accounts, setting phone and face-to-face appointments for Datalink account executives and following up on various lead activity.

 

Duties:

  • Work closely with field sales and marketing teams to identify prospects and target accounts
  • Make outbound calls and send emails to targeted IT decision makers identified through marketing programs or field sales representatives
  • Follow up on inbound sales leads
  • Introduce Datalink and discuss the company value proposition.
  • Uncover and understand customer needs
  • Nurture and qualify opportunities
  • Promote and stimulate interest in Datalink solutions and services
  • Prioritize opportunities by decision making time frame & buying stage
  • Secure face-to-face or phone sales meetings (appointments) for sales teams
  • Build and update databases as well as lead profiles
  • Track and follow results of appointments set
  • Complete monthly production reports
  • Assist with determining ROI of marketing campaigns and business development efforts

 

Qualifications include BS/BA in relevant field; Demonstrated ability to take initiative; Interest in a future in sales; Excellent phone and communication skills; Ability to grasp technical topics; Ability to effectively communicate with broad range of technical people; Familiar with MS Office, Outlook and customer relationship management applications; Able to multi-task; Self driven.
