Job Title: Program Manager

 

As a program manager for Insight, you will enter a high-energy and tech-savvy world. We’re looking for someone who is a team player, an excellent communicator, and has external client engagement experience. A Program Manager is Insight’s Services main point of contact for the management and oversight of the services portfolio provided to our clients. This role works closely with Account Executives on all aspects of the program. This includes solution road-mapping, account planning, governance, integration, and gathering the institutional knowledge needed to drive success for both Insight and the client.

 

As an Insight Program Manager, you can expect to:

 

Multitask. You will develop and implement project schedules to meet deadlines, all while ensuring your projects maintain profitability. You will make sure projects and operations are clearly defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner both internally and externally. You will partner with our client’s IT, business leadership and other key stakeholders to identify, qualify, and define opportunities
 

Take ownership. You will manage, direct and oversee all aspects of your projects, including an understanding of contracts, creation of Statements of Work (SOW), and how to achieve business objectives and goals. You will set objectives to measure and achieve high client satisfaction for service delivery. You will resolve escalations and perform root cause analysis and corrective action plans if individual or group performance does not meet client expectations. You will schedule and conduct status meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QRB’s) with key stakeholders.
 

Be a leader. You will motivate your team to find successful solutions. You will provide leadership and guidance to Insight teammates. You will support, recognize and develop Insight teammates as they continue on their chosen career paths. You will identify trends and opportunities for improvement. This includes developing, implementing, measuring and reporting on initiatives that result in an operational and/or service improvement.

 

Go places. There may be some travel involved in this position at times up to 50%. Having the flexibility to travel is required for this position. Not only will this get you out of the office, but you could also earn a traveling bonus!

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Combination of 12 years of education and IT professional services experience.
  • Experience in specific technology areas, including networking, storage, infrastructure lifecycle services and enterprise systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Experience maintaining P&L’s, utilization reports, dashboards, forecasting and other operational functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including, but not limited to, Office, Project, Project Server and SharePoint.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE POSITION

 

The Program Manager is Insight Services main point of contact for the management and oversight of the services portfolio provided to our client.  This role works closely with an Account Executive on all aspects of the program including solution road-mapping and account planning; maintains a relationship with the client as the primary point of contact for Services; provides governance over all Insight service engagements with the client; integrates into the client’s environment to gather the institutional knowledge needed to drive success in service delivery, sales, practice, and client objectives; and oversees all services engaged at the account.

 

Solution development and implementation, thought leadership, executive level communication, business analysis, continuous improvement, business development, operations and service delivery performance are all essential components of this role. 

 

General Responsibilites

 

  • Ensure alignment of subordinated projects with business objectives.
  • Prioritization and assignment of shared resources to program components.
  • Assessment, monitoring, and reporting of project financial performance.
  • Monitors program components relationships and dependencies, as well as overall integration, risk, and Issue management/resolution.
  • Coordinates the Project Managers delivering individual projects within the program.
  • Negotiates scope and schedule adjustments within reporting structure for increased program efficiency.
  • Decides process and methodology tailored to fit the program.
  • Responsible for the overall program/project delivery success.
  • Develop relationships with clients.
  • Identify new opportunities or ways to add value and increase revenue on existing projects.
  • Review & ensure compliance to project contractual paperwork.
  • Manages client expectations and responsible for client satisfaction.
  • Single point of project communications/internal and external.
  • Identifies, develops, and manages to signature the Project Change Request Process
  • Project resource management and post project review.
  • Conducts internal lessons learned.
  • Archive project artifacts.
  • Project status dashboard updates.
