Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Junior Systems Administrator, Linux to contribute to our IT Services team in LaVergne, TN, just outside the Nashville area. This individual administers, installs, configures, documents and maintains Linux operating systems and related software. Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Recognizes and troubleshoots operational problems with server hardware, operating system, hypervisor, and application software.

Key Responsibilities:

* Performs operating system management, configuration management, disaster recovery management, troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and enhancement implementation.
* Ensures that operating systems, hypervisors, and server hardware are compliant with established configuration guidelines.
* Assists senior and/or intermediate admin(s) in identifying or building and implementing automation tools to maintain an efficient and standards-based environment.
* Provides first level technical support for the planning, investigation, prototype, testing, implementation, and operational phases for the integration of services, systems, and applications within a network of multi-platform clients.
* Assists senior and/or intermediate admin(s) in documenting team processes and implementations for project approval and ongoing operational support.
* Diagnoses hardware and software problems, recommends solutions, and performs necessary system repairs.
