ROLE SUMMARY:

The Equipment Project Manager manages all aspects of equipment projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution and accomplishing specific objectives in a given time frame and with limited resources. This role supports sales staff with little supervision by assisting customers during the sales process. You can expect to interact with customers to handle complaints, process orders, and provide information about specific products and services. You'll provide efficient, accurate, and timely response to customer complaints and requests and utilize appropriate processes and tools. You'll maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotions, discounts and other information related to the order fulfillment process. You can expect to develop and maintain customer relationships through excellent customer service skills. Partnering and communicating with the sales team to support and influence response time and sales goals is a key objective of this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for coordination with sales and operations team
* Plans and analyzes assigned projects, coordinate project schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex equipment applications.
* Compares estimated ship dates with contractors project schedule.
* Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion.
* Controls expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
* Creates and makes revisions to project schedules including: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies and milestones.
* Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders, recording the receipt of materials and approving payments.
* Responsible for entering equipment orders and issuing purchase orders for vendor orders.
* Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.
* Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
* Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Minimum education High School diploma; College Degree preferred
* Minimum of three (3) years of related HVAC Systems experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong, demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills
* Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products.

Thermo King's Bronze Program provides you with coverage for interim inspections and preventive maintenance services for 3 years on trailer and 2 years on truck refrigeration units. Bronze Program Includes: Coverage for Interim Inspections and Preventive Maintenance New Trailer and SB Classic units receive 2 Interim Inspections and 1 Preventive Maintenance Service for 3 years up to a maximum of 6,000 hours. Self-Powered Truck units receive 1 Interim Inspection and 1 Preventive Maintenance Service for 2 years/4,000 hours and Vehicle-Powered Truck units receive 2 Interim Inspections for 2 years.
