Job Description

This open position is a one-year position for a postdoctoral scholar in STEM education at Indiana University - Bloomington.  The position will require work across multiple projects related to the study of making and engineering education.   Work on these projects will primarily include qualitative data collection and analysis – particularly of videos and interview data. We are looking for someone with strong skills in social science research methods and analysis, writing, and a demonstrated interest in making and STEM education. 

Salary is competitive, and the position comes with benefits.  The appointment is for one year with possible extension dependent on satisfactory performance review and continued funding.  Review of applications will begin March 1, 2018 and continue until filled.  Start date is targeted for April 1, 2018 – June 1, 2018 and the position requires residence in or frequent travel to Bloomington for research meetings.

 

Minimum qualifications: A completed doctorate in science education or a related field by the time employment begins; research experience and publications in STEM education; strong writing and communication skills; demonstrated experience in collecting and analyzing video and interview data.  Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; expertise in making and/or engineering education.
